In order to learn more on possible ecological effects of offshore wind on marine life, Gemini executes a dedicated monitoring research program. This monitoring program started a few year before construction of the wind park , continued during construction and will go on a number of years into operations. The research is specifically aimed at determining distributions and behavioural responses of birds, fish, seals and harbour porpoises in the area of the wind park site.
